- Sachiko Fushimi entered a laboratory of catalytic chemistry in the Department of Applied Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Engineering at university, and went on to study in a laboratory of food chemistry in graduate school because of her interest in biochemistry and biotechnology.
- At a food manufacturer she joined as a new graduate, Sachiko Fushimi was transferred to a department engaged in patent work after engaging in basic research, where she was in charge of finding inventions, filing patent applications, intermediate processing, and various patent and literature searches. After engaging in the development of household products, she also experienced the Corporate Planning Department and the CSR Promotion Department.
- While in the department conducting patent business, she participated in the IIP Intellectual Property Academy (7th term) hosted by the Institute of Intellectual Property (IIP). There, she researched on "Improvement of Patent Quality for Strengthening Japanese Industrial Competitiveness". To improve the quality of patents, she believes that it is crucial to link business and development strategies with intellectual property strategies.
- To proceed proposals contributing to the direction of the organization such as management decisions, based on research of patents and literature, etc., Sachiko Fushimi participated in the "3i Study Group" organized by INFOSTA (2013-2015 and 2021) and "BUILD" organized by TECH CONSIGLIE Inc. (2020).
- Currently, Sachiko Fushimi is aiming to provide better suggestions to obtain the invention a valuable patent right for the clients’ business.
