At a Japanese patent firm, handled the drafting of specifications and prosecution for mechanical and control inventions for 6 years. In the IP department of a chemical company, handled searches, filing, prosecution, contracts and negotiations for 7 years. Then joined IPX.

Handling many inventions outside that specialty at a Japanese patent firm made it possible to cover a wide range of technical fields. In a corporate IP department, gained broad IP experience, from invention mining through to contract negotiations after the rights were granted. In that IP department, also drove an IP strategy that brought the business division and the development division together. Having worked both at a patent firm and in a corporate IP department is the strength behind a many-sided view of IP strategy and enforcement.

Sees the client's own invention as the lead role in an IP service, and feels that the process of turning that invention into a product carries many stories and strong feelings. The motto is to work in all sincerity so that the invention is properly protected. Nothing is a greater pleasure than providing an IP service that satisfies the client.
