CHAPTER 01
X — the letter unchanged since founding
The name IPX is made of IP and X.
IP is intellectual property. Since founding, we have given the X one meaning: “Possibility for the future”.
A newborn idea, a technology before it takes shape, an invention not yet put into words. We believe that unknown possibility lies asleep in intellectual property.
But intellectual property alone leaves that possibility asleep. Only when it is multiplied by something else, such as business, capital or speed, does it become X.
CHAPTER 02
The era of Property
Since we founded the firm as a patent office, we have invested in quality and speed without hesitation. Building our own systems to cut repetitive work. A culture that protects quality through structure rather than individual effort. That accumulation became the form our work takes today.
Being specialists in Property was our base. Rights were the first means of giving X a shape.
CHAPTER 03
The time came
We were proud to be specialists in Property. But we also always felt that it was not enough.
How a company grows after the rights are obtained. IPX at that time had almost no chance to be involved that far.
There are firms in the world that do not stop at putting in money. They introduce sales leads, help launch a brand, and work on hiring together. Only when you go that far can you say you were part of that company's growth. We wanted to be able to say the same.
At the time, though, IPX did not yet have that strength.
What changed is these last few years. We brought a researcher into the firm and built a way to work with marketers outside it. Then generative AI arrived, and work that had been out of reach came within range.
So we decided to take on the intangible assets outside the rights as well.
CHAPTER 04
Making nothing, creating everything
This direction did not occur to us because the firm grew. It had been in our heads as something we wanted to do since the founding days. This was the time we remembered it again.
Steve Jobs is sometimes described as the man who created everything while making nothing. He did not assemble the hardware, and he did not write the code. Even so, he laid the foundation of the world we live in.
We stand in a similar place. Our clients make the products and services, and at first glance we are on the side that supports them.
But this profession takes part in businesses in every field and every industry from the closest point to the idea at their core. It is a cross-industry vantage point you cannot get from inside a single company.
Because we work with companies in every field and every industry, knowledge accumulates at IPX. We share it inside the firm within the limits that keep each client's information from mixing, and return it to another industry. In that way, we believe we can accelerate innovation in every industry.
That force needed a name.
CHAPTER 05
Evolving the P
Property is an asset to protect. Power is the force that strengthens a client's business and position. What we have handled until now was Property.
In 2026, we evolved the meaning of the “P” in IPX. From Intellectual Property to Intellectual Power.
What we do changes too. We do not stop at obtaining rights and protecting them. Strengthening our clients' business becomes part of our work.
Filing and prosecution remain our core. On top of them, we build up Power.
