Startup support is my specialty. Clients value support that also teaches the basics of intellectual property.
I explain the advantages, the drawbacks, and the cost-effectiveness in light of each matter's circumstances, such as whether there are co-applicants, which countries to file in, and when the work will be published, and then propose the best plan for securing rights.
Securing rights for composite technologies that span technical fields is another strength.
I also take on seminars for in-house training.
Full profile
At Kyoto University, worked on structural mechanics in the aerospace field. Built models of structures and analyzed their behavior with FEM (the finite element method) in CAE.
At the University of Tokyo graduate school, worked on robotics. Pursued autonomous cooperative control of multiple robots with reinforcement learning, building the virtual space in which the robots moved with a self-written program.
At Kawasaki Heavy Industries, worked on the design and development of ship engine plants. Developed a marine water-emulsion fuel system, then a new technology, and filed 5 patent applications, all of which were registered. Qualified as a patent attorney while employed there.
After 5 years in design and development, moved to a patent firm in Kobe. Mainly handled prosecution and enforcement for patents and designs.
Then, on moving back to the hometown of Ena City, Gifu Prefecture, joined a patent firm in Nagoya. Alongside prosecution, took an active part in startup support, seminars, and other pro bono work.
Joined IPX Patent Partners to raise the quality of service to clients further. Motto: “the reward for work is more work.”
