Drawing on the technical knowledge built in R&D and on experience proposing IP strategy in an IP department, I support the creation and use of intellectual property that serves the business. Understanding both the technology and the business, I aim to make proposals that stay close to the client.
Full profile
At university she researched inorganic synthesis, and in graduate school she combined experiments and simulation to study the viscoelasticity of non-Newtonian fluids and kneading technology. After joining a chemical materials manufacturer, she worked on R&D for heat-resistant materials and on technology development for a wide range of materials, including ceramics, metals, glass and precious metals. In particular, she worked on corrosion protection for metals and on setting up a high-temperature gas exposure tester for that purpose.
In the IP department she supported the business from both the technical and the rights side, through patent searches on other companies and the planning of IP strategy. Using her background as an engineer, she seeks out the essence of an invention and works to obtain and use patent rights that are valuable to the business.
