Comment
I worked in technology development at a Japanese electronics manufacturer in the early days of third-generation (3G) mobile phones. On the front line of fierce development competition, I saw for myself how patents and other intellectual property can decide a business and its competitiveness. That experience made me keenly aware of how important it is to protect technology and put it to work, and led me to aim for the patent attorney profession.
Since registering as a patent attorney, I have worked at patent firms on specification drafting, office action responses and other practice, building the hands-on skills that prosecution work demands. Having both the engineer's view and the attorney's view, I feel every day, helps me grasp the essential value of an invention accurately and shape rights that fit it.
I will give my all to fulfil my responsibilities as your representative.
