Protect UI/UX through its function
Obtaining a patent on UI/UX protects the function behind it. A screen that changes dynamically based on data, that realizes some function, that is a novel form of expression. UI/UX like this has a good chance of being patentable. And because it appears on the surface, imitation by others is easy to find and to prove, which is a practical advantage.

Overlapping protection by patent and design
Static appearance by design, dynamic appearance and function by patent. The "Slide to Unlock" once used on the iPhone had its appearance protected by a design right and its function by a patent. At IPX, one consultation covers both the patent and the design proposal. There is no need for repeated meetings with several different people.

Business model patents are decided by the technical skeleton
A business model in itself cannot be patented. Information processing by software has to be concretely realized using hardware resources.
